Two Eastlake Police Officers recently received recognition for their work efforts this past week.
The officers that received this recogintion were Patrolman Richard Greer and Detective Christopher Bowersock.
Ptl. Greer received the “Top Cop” award from Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) for his hard work and efforts in removing impaired drivers from the road. Ptl. Greer has been with the department since 1983 and has continued to be one of the departments top OVI enforcers on a yearly basis.
Det. Bowersock was nominated for the “DUECE” award, which stands for “Doing the extraordinary, unselfishly, continually, everyday,” for his work on many daily projects within the department; along with his willingness to help others complete their assignments, and for his most recent work in a muder for hire investigation, which made him the obvious choice for the award.
Both officers were recognized earlier this month at a MADD awards dinner in Independence.
